- Within your family: Data is shared among family members you have explicitly added to your Jeevanee household, according to the roles and permissions you configure.
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, analytics, and AI processing. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

- Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Health records and prescriptions: retained while your account is active; you may delete individual records at any time
- Transaction and financial data: retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations
- Audit logs: retained as required for compliance; these are append-only and cannot be modified
- Community content: retained while posted; you may delete your posts at any time
- Backup data: purged within 60 days of account deletion

The Jeevanee platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as pharmacy websites, health information portals, or payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any personal information. Third-party integrations within Jeevanee (such as AI processing services) are governed by data processing agreements that ensure your data is protected to the same standards we maintain.
11. International Data Transfers
All primary data storage and processing occurs on servers located in India. In limited cases, data may be processed outside India for specific services (such as AI model inference). In such cases, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place as required by the DPDPA, including data processing agreements and transfer impact assessments. We only transfer data to jurisdictions that provide adequate protection or where contractual safeguards are in place.
12. Children's Privacy
Jeevanee allows parents and guardians to manage health and wellness data for children in their family. Children under 18 cannot create accounts independently. Verifiable parental consent is required for processing children's data, in compliance with DPDPA provisions for minors.
13. AI-Powered Features
Jeevanee uses AI for features like prescription OCR, health insights, cross-domain intelligence, and the Family Concierge. Regarding AI-powered features:
- AI-generated content is always clearly labeled with a disclaimer
- AI outputs are presented for your review and are never saved directly without your explicit approval
- Your data may be sent to AI processing services for analysis; these services do not retain your data beyond the processing request
- AI outputs are not medical, financial, or legal advice and should be verified with qualified professionals
- You can opt out of AI-powered features at any time without losing access to core platform functionality
- Conversations with the AI Concierge are not stored permanently unless you explicitly save a generated plan
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the platform (in-app notification), by email, or by prominently posting a notice on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
